Ezekiel's Journal 2
When I got to Joey’s house I felt my soul relax and let out a giant sigh of relief as a feeling washes over me, a feeling that I feel so very little in my life, safety. To get that happy sense of family I never get at home I helped with dinner and the clean up after I even took out the garbage. We played some games but then the guys decided to get some rest before we went to the Overlook. I decided to see if I could look up any of the history on the people who have died there. I have seen the guys on the show ghost adventures use the stories they learn as a way of bringing out the ghosts. I didn’t find much, some people died there that’s about all there was to find. I think Abby might be right, I don’t think there will be any ghosts there. It came time to go and we all got on our bikes headed out to the Outlook. At first we played around in the playground I would not show it to the others but I had fun. Abby thought she saw a rabbit bush move. She got a little scared and that was enough to set off Blake’s jitters. We played a bit more and then we headed to the maze we wanted to get there before mid-night, Joey heard a rumor that kids disappear from the center of the maze at mid-night so yeah that is exactly where we wanted to go. That did not seem very logical to me but what the hay. So in we went Ozzy lead the way and got us to the center really fast. Joey’s next super smart idea was to see if a ritual he looked up on line to summon spirits would work and so he started leading us in the gathering of things and working the ritual. Nothing really happened a little wind kicked up is all so I thought it would be funny to shake the hedge really hard and try to give everyone a scare. It didn’t work out as good as I had hoped Joey had a look on his face that said he caught me and all the others just got a little scare out of it nothing big. Then out of where Blake of all people wanted to do the ritual again and this time call his dead mom. I did not see that coming. So we did it and this time we got a loud wailing sound. This got all of our attentions and the attention of Grady the grounds keeper. We scattered and ran to different places to hide. The first thing I thought of was to get to Joey’s bike and unlock it before he got there so we would be ready to get going. Joey was trying to find me with texts and then shot a selfie to show me where he was but this just made a big flash so we had to hide from Grady some more. I got the lock open and then everyone met up with me. I thought for sure we were going to leave but we didn’t we decided that we would go check out the room that the grounds keepers dog won’t go into. So we all climbed up to the window of that room. I helped Joey up the wall but I don’t think anyone saw me which is good because Joey doesn’t like people thinking he needs help.
